our new president (2021-2022) message

I would like to introduce myself as the new president of Desert Valley Soccer Referee Association (DVSRA). DVSRA is the Coachella Valley’s only USSF affiliated referee association and we will be supplying referees for the upcoming CSL season.

For the last 20 years I have been involved in the local soccer community as a coach, (rec & club) admin, instructor and referee for everything from rec to college games. Many of you know me from working games together and I will continue to be present at the fields. It is my goal to train and support USSF certified referees who can deliver a professional game experience. 

I would like to ask for your assistance in spreading the word: we need more referees! Please join me in helping to recruit new referees. Parents, siblings and players all make great referees (age 13 and over.) For kids, it is a great way to earn some extra money and learn new skills. For players, refereeing can provide a valuable insight into the game from a new perspective. Cal South also provides pathways for advancement to higher levels. We will provide the training.
