President's Message Season 2018-2019

Referee’s,

The Club season is upon us. The first games will kick off on September 8 th . Only referee’s that have a 2018 certification will be assigned. Be sure you have completed your membership form and pay your club dues to be added to the arbiter.

Recreational games will begin September 22 nd , if you solely plan on doing these games, you only need to fill out your membership form at http://www.dvsra.org/

Become familiar with Coast Soccer league rules 2018 https://www.coastsoccer.net/rules as there have been some changes. You can download the CSL referee app on your cell phone and have the rules at your fingertips at all times.

Our points of emphasis are the same as they have been for the past few seasons:

Player Safety:
Water breaks, should not be denied to players in the desert heat.
Goals will be anchored or the game will not be started.
Coaches must present their ID’s, player passes and rosters before the match. If ID’s, 
players passes or rosters are not present, the game will not be started.
Referee’s must show up early to their matches, sanctions may be applied to late referee’s. If you are late and another referee has started your match, he/she has the option to finish that game and get paid for it.

Now would be the time to check your uniforms, remember for club soccer we will use the 2 stripe (new style) socks.

Our assigner Louie will send out availability messages when he receives the schedules,
it is your responsibility to maintain clear and constant contact with him. Our monthly training have made me confident that you have a better understanding of the game and how it should be managed.
